Are Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Reuniting On-screen?
“They have developed beautifully, separately, as actors,” said director David Cronenberg.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart‘s last project was the ever-so-popular Twilight series — whether you loved it or hated it, the franchise was a global phenomenon during the late 2000s.
After completing the trilogy, the actors ventured off to work on their own careers, exploring Hollywood’s indie and arthouse categories. Recently, The Batman actor introduced director David Cronenberg to the Spencer star. As a result, Stewart was tapped to star in Cronenberg’s horror film Crimes of the Future. On top of that, according to New York Post, Cronenberg “may bring the actors together once again.”
“It was Robert who actually introduced me to Kristen. They have developed beautifully, separately, as actors,” the filmmaker said in a recent interview. “Making arthouse movies and successfully carrying that off. Kristen and I had a great time and Rob and I had a great time.” Responding to a question about a potential Robstem reunion, Cronenberg said, “I can definitely think of a movie, or idea, that would be great to have them both together.” “I don’t want to get into it because it wouldn’t be my next movie, however, it might be problematic since fans might expect a certain kind of relationship and that would get in the way of creating new characters for them,” he added. “So, I have a strange feeling that might be problematic, so it’s only theoretical for now.”
As of writing, a Robsten reunion on-screen has not been confirmed. Stay tuned while we wait for more details to surface.
