Bella and Gigi Hadid Debut Shaved Heads at Marc Jacobs' Latest Show in NYC

The designer returned to the New York Public Library to present his FW22 collection.

Exactly a year after his Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Marc Jacobs headed to the New York Public Library once again to showcase his Fall/Winter 2022 range.

“We have art not to die of the truth,” the designer quoted Nietszche in his show notes, further adding: “Amidst an ever-changing landscape of resources, unexpected obstacles and a world feverishly digitizing new standards of reality, my sentiment is unwavering — creativity is essential to living.”

The creative’s off-calendar show was filled with out-of-proportion garments, with what seemed like a couple of oversized knit sweaters tied onto one another. Jacobs additionally played around with denim, using surface treatments in bright tones of pink, purple and more.

A continuation of the NYC designer’s new aesthetic, the FW22 collection further featured bulbous dresses as well as chic, wide-legged trousers and supersized bags, all paired with chunky platform boots. These silhouettes were contrasted with micro-mini bras and cropped tank tops. The sleek looks were complete with shaved hairdos, which Gigi and Bella Hadid also wore as they strutted down the catwalk.
