
'Money Heist: Korea' Tops Global Netflix Charts
Just a few days following its premiere.
Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, the South Korean remake of Netflix‘s hit La Casa de Papel, has topped global charts following its premiere on June 24.
The new TV series took the top spot on the streaming giant’s Global Top 10 list with over 33 million hours viewed, followed by the first season of Spain‘s Intimacy at 16.6 million hours. Upon its release, Money Heist: Korea took three days to reach the global watchlist, joining the Top 10 titles in 51 countries around the world. The show also took first place in South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
The K-drama boasts a star-studded cast, featuring Yoo Ji-tae (Oldboy) as Professor, Park Hae-soo (Squid Game) as Berlin, Jeon Jong-seo (Burning) as Tokyo, model-turned-actor Jang Yoon-ju as Nairobi, Yunjin Kim (Lost) as the Inspector, Park Myung-hoon (Parasite) as Arturo and more.
