Self-portrait Brings Gilded Elegance to New Bow Bag
Part of the brand’s debut accessories collection.
London-based womenswear label self-portrait introduces its first-ever accessories collection which focuses around the Bow Bag design. The new arrival is comprised of two styles: the Bow Mini and Bow Micro.
Encompassing an essence of refined elegance, both Bow Bag iterations come in a minimal shopper style silhouette. The overall body and double handle of the bag are crafted from a soft-touch Nappa leather secured with a single visible stitch.
On the center of the magnetic snap closing, self-portrait incorporates a metal bow plied with folds and curves. Encrusted with crystals, while some are hammered in gold, the bag’s hard embellishments are said to emulate the strength in femininity.
Headed by Founder and creative director Han Chong, self-portrait has spent the last decade crafting free-spirited yet classic garments with the onus of empowering the women that wear them. Speaking on the label’s new handbag addition, Chong explains: “The Bow Bag’s shape – strong yet feminine – is a timeless design with a happy uplifting twist, which we’ll continue to work with for years to come.”
With the Bow Bag set to be a prominent item in the brand’s ongoing range, the extensive initial drop exemplifies the adaptability of the design – featuring seven colors of Bow Bag Mini and six in the Micro range.
Shop the self-portrait Bow Bag collection on the brand’s webstore and in global boutiques from $365 USD.
