Design brand Cassina tapped the late Virgil Abloh to create a range of modern pieces — two different-sized building blocks that represent building new worlds.
Featuring a matte black look, the building blocks were designed to be combined. Each block boasts a rigid, industrial appearance, but at the same time features a soft look. Whether you plan on utilizing it as a pouf, bench or table, the designs can be stacked thanks to their connecting module “that allows its contrasting orange cylindrical feet to slot into the top of the below unit,” as per a press release.
In honor of Abloh’s legacy, the Modular Imagination will be presented at the Cassina Milano installation during Milan Design Week and Men’s Fashion Week. The collection will be available via Cassina stores, online and select concept design stores this fall.
