Wiederhoeft Reveals Cinematic Pre-Spring 2023 Collection
Reinventing the traditional “Fashion Show.”
New York-based fashion brand Wiederhoeft has set out to transform the idea of a fashion show with its Pre-Spring 2023 collection. Titled “Fashion Show,” the fanciful capsule brings surrealist motifs to life, marrying classic silhouettes and design elements with more flamboyant accents like embroidered poodles and neck corsets.
Imagined by Parsons School of Design graduate Jackson Wiederhoeft, the former student’s latest collection lives as a fully composed multimedia collage in which the garments are their own characters, exuding personalities all their own. Grounded in vibrantly saturated colors from chartreuse to fuschia, the melange of apparel is not for the meek or faint of heart. Made for those who love to experiment both in life and fashion, the Pre-Spring 2023 range is teeming with sequins, bondage and tulle.
Standouts include an inventive neck corset in chartreuse silk double-faced satin, paired with an eye-catching long column dress, which is hand-embroidered with a lovable marabou feather poodle. Elsewhere, Wiederhoeft delivers a modern bridal moment, presenting an ethereal white dropped-waist dress adorned with a frothy white invisible tulle and dazzling pearlescent sequins. Meanwhile, denim makes a provocative appearance as black overalls are covered in red illustrated demons and are complemented by an oversized sleeveless hoodie accented with pink satin ribbons.
