Ryan Gosling Talks About His 'Barbie' Character's Broke "Ken-ergy"
Revealing Ken is “going through some stuff.”
Ryan Gosling spilled the tea on his Barbie character, Ken. The actor revealed the famous doll is seemingly broke in the forthcoming Greta Gerwig film.
“Ken’s got no money,” Gosling told Entertainment Tonight. “He’s got no job. He’s got no car. He’s got no house. You know, he’s going through some stuff.”
Margot Robbie, who plays the titular role, previously told the outlet that “whatever we think the Barbie movie is, it’s not that,” which Gosling elaborated on. “I would never correct Barbie. I would never dream of it. Whatever Barbie says is exactly right. She’s right,” he jokingly responded. “It’s not what you think it is unless it is and then you know what it is, but I don’t think that’s what you think it is.”
You can expect to see Ken on the big screen next summer as Barbie is slated to hit theaters on July 21, 2023. For now, though, check out Gosling talk about Ken in the video interview above.
