Aesop Has a New Home on Regent Street

The Melbourne-based skincare brand settles in one of London’s most iconic locations.

Skincare brand Aesop just announced its newest physical location, cementing itself on London‘s iconic Regent Street.

First built in 1819 by architect John Nash, Regent Street has since undergone a tremendous transformation but still retains the essence of Nash’s original vision. The new Aesop store was created by the brand’s in-house design team and seeks to mirror the street’s 200-year history through traditional design.

The symmetrical space is designed to enrich the visitor’s exploration of Aesop and features an oversized and stately basin, drawing inspiration from the water fountains of Regency architecture. Elsewhere, the store boasts a vaulted ceiling and an intimate space dubbed “the Sensorium,” whereby visitors will be able to imbue an item of clothing with an Eau de Parfum of their choice.

One of the most exciting things about the new store, however, is the addition of Aesop’s facial treatment rooms. Replicating all the comforts of one’s own living room, the rooms feature consultation and treatment spaces encased in subtle timber and cork, designed to relax and calm the senses. Appointments can be booked on Aesop’s website and consist of bespoke treatments depending on the skin concerns.

News of the store launch comes shortly after the brand opened its doors for Pride month, celebrating an array of LGBTQIA+ authors with a free queer library.
