Lady Gaga Is Confirmed To Play Harley Quinn in 'Joker 2'
The singer will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in the sequel musical.
Lady Gaga has taken to social media to confirm she will be playing Harley Quinn in Joker 2, which will be titled Joker: Folie à Deux.
The singer-slash-actor shared an Instagram reel that serves as a film teaser in which Thomas Wayne (Joaquin Phoenix) and Harley’s silhouettes are seen dancing to Irving Berlin’s “Cheek to Cheek.”
There are still no details available pertaining to the sequel’s plot. However, what we do know is that it is going to be a musical. Additionally, Gaga’s Quinn will be a new take on what we’ve seen before. The Hollywood Reported previously stated that “this new Quinn exists in a different DC universe than the Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, which most recently appeared in 2021’s The Suicide Squad as well as several other films.”
Joker: Folie à Deux is slated to hit theaters on October 4, 2024. Check out the teaser below.
