AMBUSH’s Campaign for FW22 Is Out of This World
Featuring a radiant, celestial sphere and a lunar beach.
AMBUSH has revealed its Fall/Winter 2022 campaign captured by Harley Weir and styled by Carlos Nazario. Set on a lunar beach, echoes of magic realism exalt AMBUSH’s motto of “out of this world, on earth.” The awe-inspiring and otherworldly visuals were shot after the brand’s first runway presentation at Milan Fashion Week, which was a turning point for the house.
Yoon Ahn explores the idea of each look as a character through angular tailoring and elongated silhouettes that are both sensual and nuanced. Models inhabit the role of a creative explorer as they emerge from within the immensity of the set and its industrial surrounding. The celestial scene juxtaposes an illuminated globe in an array of colors and AMBUSH’s elevated FW22 range.
Ephemeral shades, resembling the moon phases and the sunset, are reflected in the collection’s silver hardware. Standout pieces include belt chokers, outsize rings, radiant twisted earrings, an A-shaped clutch, a gloss black leather heart bag, a chainmail minidress, leather accented separates, heavy boots and a cropped shearling jacket.
The tension between the imagined and the real collide in an extra-terrestrial setting that helps tell the story. An accompanying film enhances the campaign’s otherworldly air of the scene and retro-future edge design codes. Ahn continues to bring her desire to expand the house’s digital world while understanding that physical spaces and happenings are what fuel the brand’s growth.
