Jennifer Lopez on Her 'Shotgun Wedding' and Proposal PTSD With Ben Affleck

On the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Jennifer Lopez opens up about her doubts ahead of marrying Ben Affleck.
Fresh off the press tour for her latest Amazon Prime film, Shotgun Wedding, JLo spills all the tea on her relationship PTSD. JLo and Ben Affleck notoriously ended their engagement in 2004 after a highly publicized relationship. And shortly after her eventual divorce from MLB player Alex Rodriguez, she reconnected with her ex-beau, Affleck.
According to the Bronx musician, rekindling their relationship did not negate the sh-tty past — not even with Affleck’s clear excitement to finally go through with the wedding. She revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Affleck initiated their grand wedding in the Summer of 2022, but despite her excitement, she felt uneasy.
“F–k it, let’s just go to Vegas and get married tonight,’” JLo recounted on Affleck’s excitement. “He said, ‘Go to rehearsal. When you get back here, I’ll have everything set up.’” And he did. But in true Leo form, she elaborated on the proposal and ensured “He had to ask me again.”
“We were so happy and, of course, it was happening, but the wedding was so stressful,” she continued. She kept having pinch-me moments, and had to keep asking herself if this second go at love was “really happening.”
Well, not only did it really happen but the star has never smiled so big.
