Kim Kardashian Gives Lecture at Harvard Business School

It’s giving Elle Woods.

Kim Kardashian is obviously walking in the footsteps of Elle Woods as the budding California lawyer gave a lecture at Harvard Business School this past week.

Discussing the success of her brand SKIMS with co-founder Jen Grede, Kardashian was honored and excited to share her invaluable business acumen with the class, “Moving Beyond Direct to Consumer,” as she shared her experience on Instagram, captioning her post, “I’m so proud of SKIMS and the thought that it is a course being studied at Harvard is just crazy. Thank you professor Len Schlesinger and @harvardhbs for having us,” adding the hashtag, “bucket list dream.”

While it takes a certain amount of skill and discipline to turn an instance of revenge porn into a full-fledged empire, many are slamming both the reality TV star and the Massachusetts university for giving her the platform. Critics on social media had more than a few words as one Instagram user commented on Kim’s post,”What happened to your standards,” tagging Harvard Business School.

Others pointed fingers are Kardashian’s familial wealth as her father, Robert Kardashian, was a highly successful lawyer, having defended O.J. Simpson in that trial. Another user wrote, “Harvard business 101: getting born into wealth and becoming a celebrity through some bulls–t TV show. What a great and interesting guest lecturer to pick.”

Fans of the mogul celebrated her accomplishment as Alicia Keys gave Kardashian her flowers in the form of several flame emojis, while her longtime BFF Paris Hilton simply and iconically wrote, “That’s hot.”
