111SKIN Reveals the Skincare Menu That Made Erdem's Models Glow

Find out how it’s revolutionizing backstage beauty prep at Fashion Week.

In the run up to Fashion Week shows, preparation in every finite detail is key, including model skincare. While face-prep is typically carried out using various at-home routines, 111SKIN continues to change the backstage prep game with its aestheticians returning behind-the-scenes of Erdem’s fashion show.

Considering the dark and theatrical garments in the collection, designer Erdem Moralıoğlu collaborated with the brand to bring a fresh and full-of-life glow to the models on the runway. “For Fall/Winter 2023 I imagined an army of Victorian heroines, envisioning their complexions illuminated with a glass-like sheen,” he says. “Its [111SKIN] formulas are essential in creating this radiant skin look on the runway.”

To achieve this illuminating base, aestheticians first cleansed the models’ skin with the Vitamin C Brightening Cleanser that delivers actives deep into the pores to draw out impurities from other shows. After, they applied a layer of the lightweight yet enriched Celestial Black Diamond Brightening Essence formula with diamond and copper peptides to prep the skin.

Both a staple in 111SKIN’s range and the routines of seasoned skintellectuals, the Space Defence Bright Eye Lift Gel NAC Y² was then incorporated into the specially-curated Erdem line-up, adding an instant face-freezing effect to the models’ under-eye area. It was paired with the Celestial Black Diamond Contour Gel – another product that targets and reduces the appearance of wrinkles around the eye, brow and forehead area.

As seen in the backstage shots, each model was then given a face-sculpting treatment using Y Theorem Repair Serum NACY². Working the face muscles, this famous technique inspired by Harley Street facials drains the lymphatic system. The skin is later cooled down and de-puffed with Cyro Globes.

The final step saw aestheticians apply a mixture of Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Booster, Rose Gold Radiance Booster and Y Theorem Day Cream NAC Y² into the skin, left to soak up the nourishing ingredients. To keep the dewy look intact, the brand’s iconic eye and face masks – made from hydrogel and bio cellulose – were also distributed for use in the hair and make-up chair.

Sharing how this deep-skin ritual can be taken into everyday life, 111SKIN’s founder and CEO Eva Alexandridis says, “Healthy skin has never been more important. It gives people confidence and is an essential part of everyone’s total look. Models have makeup applied multiple times per day during fashion weeks, and treating the skin with reparative products and our signature 111SKIN massage, helps hydrate and nurture the skin for better make-up prep.”
