Channel Your Inner Art Enthusiast With Collect's 2023 Fair at Somerset House

The leading international fair for contemporary craft and design returns to London for three days only.

Unsure how to kickstart March in a creative mood? Well, Collect, the leading international fair for contemporary craft and design is set to return to Somerset House’s stunning interiors for its 19th edition — and it might just be the inspiration you’re looking for. The annual showcase, produced by the U.K.’s Crafts Council and supported by the LOEWE FOUNDATION, offers exclusive, thoughtfully curated work by panel-selected galleries and their talented, commissioned artists.

Available for three days only, Collect is an exceptional opportunity to acquire museum-quality work made in the last five years and support living artists internationally. The 2023 line-up consists of almost 40 specialist galleries from across the globe, such as the Chinese BR Gallery, South Korean Siat Gallery, Craft Scotland or the English Charles Burnand Gallery, along with over 400 artists makers.

Whether you are a collector, interior designer, art advisor or simply a crafts enthusiast with an eye for taste, Collect includes one-of-one ceramics, glass, lacquer, furniture, art jewelry, metalwork, textile and fiber, wood and paper, as well as pieces embracing non-traditional reused, repurposed and recycled materials, such as resin and plastics.

Furthermore, alongside showcasing international galleries, Collect Open, the fair’s platform for pioneering and thought-provoking craft installations by individual artists and collectives also returns with 14 exciting projects by artists hailing from the USA, Poland, and all over the U.K., including Northern Ireland.

Isobel Dennis, Collect’s Fair Director, commented: “For the past 19 years, Collect has reinforced its pivotal position as the authority for contemporary craft and design. The increasingly diverse range of galleries and artistic voices featured at this year’s fair will make the show richer in content and discovery than ever before.”

Sheila Loewe, President at LOEWE FOUNDATION, added: “Continuing our commitment to craft and the arts, the LOEWE FOUNDATION is proud to join forces with the Crafts Council in support of Collect 2023. This long-standing collaboration allows us to make a real impact by shining a light on craft and its power to advance society. Discovering the outstanding makers in the show is always an honor and so inspiring for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize.”

Collect 2023 will be happening at Somerset House from March 3-5. Tickets are now available to purchase from the fair’s dedicated website. Can’t make it? Don’t worry. All the works can also be viewed and purchased online via Artsy.net from March 1-12.
