Arriving months after SZA teased a verse.
UPDATE (February 24, 2023): Shortly after confirming their newest collaboration, The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have dropped their remix for “Die For You.” You can now listen to the track on major streaming platforms like Spotify and watch the lyric video via YouTube above.
UPDATE (February 23, 2023): The Weeknd and Ariana Grande have confirmed their latest collaboration — a remix for “Die For You.”
Both artists had previously taken to social media to tease the project until they finally announced the single. “Tomorrow night,” they each captioned a photo announcing the remix.
Months prior, SZA had revealed she was considering releasing a remix of the same track with her own verse on the Deluxe version of SOS. However, it seems like there were some last-minute changes.

ORIGINAL STORY (February 22, 2023): The Weeknd and Ariana Grande are seemingly dropping another collab soon. The duo each took to social media to tease a “Die For You” remix months after SZA hinted at doing the same.
“Wrote and recorded a verse for my friend after a 14-hour day on set,” Grande captioned a TikTok video in which she appears to be singing and cutting vocal takes after a day of filming the movie adaptation of Wicked. “This certain exception had to be made.”
The Weeknd seemingly confirmed the collab after he shared Grande’s video onto his social media. This would be their fourth collaboration; they’ve previously worked on “Save Your Tears,” “Love Me Harder” and “Off the Table.”
In November 2022, SZA teased a “Die For You” remix with The Weeknd. The following month, she revealed she and The Weeknd discussed the idea. “We talked about it, it wouldn’t be really hard ’cause there’s a scaffolding of one that already exists so I need to just finish it,” she told Z100. “If he is on the deluxe of my album, I will turn in the ‘Die For You’ verse.”
It’s now been confirmed that SZA’s deluxe version of SOS will feature 10 additional tracks and is coming soon, according to Billboard. Perhaps this means a “Die For You” remix featuring both Grande and SZA is on the way.
