Loro Piana’s New FW23 Collection Plays With Sumptuous Fabrics and Billowing Shapes

In a refashioning of equestrian styles.

For Fall/Winter 2023, Loro Piana masters luxury for all occasions as it centers its new collection on the idea of “stylish playfulness.”

Known for delivering fine fabrics and quality craftsmanship in the form of dainty garments, the Italian brand now expands its range to more versatile pieces that take its wearers from work to play with ease. Bringing this concept to life, Loro Piana draws inspiration from equestrian styles, reimagining classic shapes with its globally sourced fabrics.

The new collection begins its journey with linen fibers, melded with its newly introduced CashDenim to produce tailored high-collar jackets, trousers and hats. In addition to being lightweight, these garments are robust and maintain their perfectly angled structures. Crafted with rich alpaca wool, mid-layers in the range include chunky throw-over tops and fine knit vests. The insulating wool is also blended with other fibers to create voluminous, Jodhpur-shaped lounge trousers and smarter tartan bottoms.

Bringing pillowy textures to the collection, Loro Piana’s renowned Mongolian cashmere features in shearling jackets, which are then embroidered with folk-inspired patterns. The brand’s CashFur innovation also lands on a dramatic wrap coat that can be dressed up with its flowing dresses or, dressed down with jersey trousers to create a cocooning shell.

Classic pieces are added to the collection which model a mix of suede and polished leathers. From cinched-in leather jackets to shopper-style bags, the brown hues tie together the natural warm tones across the range. To finish, Loro Piana introduces new styles of footwear such as boots, ballet flats and sling-back heels, which are playfully reimagined to emphasize the equestrian theme running through the designs.

Explore the luxurious styles in the lookbook above.

Loro Piana’s FW23 collection will be available to buy soon on the brand’s website and at global boutiques.
