Slip Into Something Sexy for Valentine's Day With "Black Sheer Pantyhose" Nails

Valentine’s Day nail art has gotten a sexy update. Gone are the days of pink and red hearts. This year we’re sliding into something a bit more slinky and chic. Entering the manicure chat: “Black sheer pantyhose” nails.
Coined by iconic manicurist Betina Goldstein, the look is an elevated way to wear shades of black and grey nail polish — and a cooler and “it” girl-approved take on the classic french tip nail look. In an Instagram post, Goldstein breaks down all the steps to achieve the style. She starts with one coat of Chanel Beauty‘s “Ballerina” varnish to all nails. Once dried, she applies CND‘s “Black Pool” nail polish onto the base coat. The trick here is that the black polish will pull off the “invisible” act when diluted and applied in two even coats over a sheer base. As the name itself applies, the finish is alluringly sheer, just like a pair of sexy silk stockings over freshly waxed legs.
