Harris Reed Proves That "All The World's A Stage" in 2023

Harris Reed kicked off London Fashion Week with a bang, presenting a demi-couture collection inspired by William Shakespeare, Henry Moore and pageant queens.
Centered around the collection title, “All The World’s A Stage,” a quote from Shakespeare, the 2023 collection took the concept of theatre and amplified it tenfold. Theatre drapes were upcycled into gold lamé fabric, interspersed with harlequin motifs throughout and punctuated by accents of rich black velvet and crystal embellishments.
Fusing the glamor of pageant outfits with curved lines and shapes signature to the works of Moore, the fashion week offering played with the ideas of drama, exaggeration and shock factor. Unexpected fabrics were twisted and turned into classic silhouettes, from structured shawls to waist belts, completed by ever-so-slightly unhinged additions.
Sculpture played a key part in Reed’s 2023, with his dramatic looks upturning fishtail skirts, creating exaggerated bustiers and accentuating hip drapes and ruffles.
