Tia Adeola FW23 Is an Unapologetically Pro-Black Collection

A celebration of color.

Tia Adeola‘s Fall/Winter 2023 collection is a celebration of women on color, employing a predominantly Black cast and delivering unabashedly bold garments. Hairstyles are reminiscent of the Black classic film, B.A.P.S., styling models’ hair into sky-high works of art.

The collection is grounded in a pared back yet impactful color palette of white, black, aquatic blue and lustrous ochre. The offering’s silhouettes lend themselves easily to revenge dressing, immediately evoking the spirit of a woman who has earned every ounce of her confidence. Sheer white lace gowns are fit for a sexy bridge, while a burnt orange tassel top worn with nothing else are begging for a night out. An all-black set are overflowing with ruffles, instantly catching the eye, while a delicate all over body veil leaves little to the imagination.

Other standouts include a bright turquoise strapless midi dress paired with an elegant scarf, alongside a buttery yellow halter option, naturally worn with a fully plucked out afro. The assortment of pieces are simultaneously extravagant yet soft, eliciting an air of femininity and softness, present in the menswear items as well.
