An Official Look at the CLOT x Nike "CLOTEZ" in Bruce Lee-Inspired Yellow and Black
The second colorway of the 3-in-1 design.
UPDATE (March 5, 2023): We now have a closer look at the yellow and black “CLOTEZ” Cortez collaboration whipped up by CLOT and Nike.
The duo, which released a black-and-white version of the 3-in-1 shoe, has returned with a yellow-and-black colorway honoring Bruce Lee. Created by Edison Chen and aspiring designer Harry Wong, the kicks — inspired by traditional Kung Fu shoes — feature the Chinese characters “潮” and “幫” at the heel.
Take a closer look at the sneakers above. Priced at $140 USD, the yellow and black “CLOTEZ” will drop on March 10 at JUICE locations in Causeway Bay (Hong Kong), Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Taipei and Los Angeles.
ORIGINAL STORY (March 1, 2023): CLOT and Nike, which recently partnered on a 3-in-1 Cortez dubbed the “CLOTEZ,” are returning with another colorway of the collaborative shoe.
Embodying the yin-and-yang philosophy, the design taps into the roots of the Edison Chen-helmed brand with inspiration from the art of Kung Fu. Channeling that same story, the new “CLOTEZ” is updated in a bright yellow “Varsity Maize” and black palette, much reminiscent of the iconic black-and-yellow suit famously worn by Bruce Lee in the 1979 classic Game of Death.
Like its predecessor, the “Bruce Lee” Cortez comes in a 3-in-1 design. While maintaining the shoe’s original silhouette, the kicks feature an outer black layer that can be worn on its own or with the interior layer. The exterior is highlighted with the striking yellow hue, which is extended onto the inner Kung Fu-inspired sneaker.
