Could Kim Kardashian’s Devil-Red Stiletto Nails Be the Dawn of a New Era?
Maybe this is her villian moment?
For summer 2022, Kim Kardashian had practically become devoted to rocking short manicures and professed that her days of wearing long nails were most likely over. Even recently, she was spotted sporting Glossier-esque “milky jelly” nails. However, the beat of that drum switched quickly as the Skims founder was recently seen rocking Devil-Red stiletto-length nails.
The KarJenner sister took to Instagram in a red sequin bralette top and skirt set, but the main character of the photo was her fierce red nails. Of course being a male beauty editor, my eyes and mind went past her outfit and straight to the nail moment as TikTok‘s “Red nail theory” suggests. I was surprised to see this color on the reality star as she mainly sticks to soft, neutral colors. The thing is, no Kardashian or Jenner sticks to a trend for very long. Once it pops, they’re on to the next thing, so it’s virtually impossible to keep up, even if you wanted to.
Most likely the longer nail moments for Kimmy are press-on nails, as she has reported to Allure that the nails are usually taped on for a shoot or just for the evening. Alas, no good thing lasts forever.
