ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov Announce the GEL-QUANTUM ZIENTZIA

Paying homage to the ASICS Institute of Sport Science.

Kiko Kostadinov and ASICS are continuing their eclectic partnership with an all-new footwear silhouette that pays homage to the ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS).

Inspired by ISS’s commitment to “human-centric science,” the new sneaker draws on the institute’s “ASICS Blue” color palette and offers a retro-futuristic juxtaposition through its design, leaning deeply into the exploration of materials and proportions.

Aiming to enhance the experiences of the active lifestyle consumer, the collaborative sneaker boasts a two-part scutoid GEL technology sole for added shock absorption, complete with a reinforced heel for performance-level support. Arriving in a “Dark Grey/Blue” colorway, the silhouette is set to be priced at £275, approximately $328 USD.

Celebrating the release, ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov’s new campaign was photographed in the ISS building in Kobe, Japan, with the sneaker captured worn by lifelong members of the team, including developers, designers and researchers.

Take a look at the GEL-QUANTUM™ ZIENTZIA by Kiko Kostadinov in action above, ahead of its exclusive release on the Kiko Kostadinov website on February 28. The sneaker will see a wider release via ASICS in March.
