'Riverdale' Fans Blast Cole Sprouse for Humiliating Lili Reinhart
The actor tells all on a new ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast.
Riverdale fans are not happy and it’s not just because of the CW show’s nonsensical plot as actor Cole Sprouse is coming under fire for humiliating Lili Reinhart during his Call Her Daddy podcast episode.
Sitting down with host Alex Cooper to discuss his much-publicized breakup, the former Suite Life of Zack and Cody star revealed that “almost every one of his girlfriends” have cheated on him, but the bone that Twitter has to pick with Sprouse is the murky truth of how their relationship ended.
Reinhart and Sprouse dated for two years, originally splitting in January 2020, then confirming it on Instagram in August of that year. While Sprouse initially stated that their breakup was mutual, he switched up his story, saying, “It was me, I left, it was time. It absolutely lasted longer because we worked together. There was a lot of pressure and I think if I had loved myself more I would have left earlier.”
The implication that if he had more self-worth, he would’ve parted ways with Reinhart before January might be hurtful to his ex, but fans are not having any of it as many took to Instagram to share their heated feelings. “Cole ‘Sprouts’ humiliating Lili Reinhart on International Women’s Day is just pure devil attitude.” However, the biggest nail in his proverbial coffin was Sprouse’s constant indoor smoking as several criticized him, saying it gave them “second-hand embarrassment” and reminding the actor that he’s not “Bob Dylan.”
While the internet has been up in arms, the 30-year-old actor still wishes Reinhart nothing but love, adding that although working together after the split was hard, “What an incredible experience I had, I’ll always feel lucky and cherish that I had the chance to fall in love. I wish her nothing but the utmost love and happiness moving forward. All I’ll say about it, anything else you hear doesn’t matter.”
