W 78 ST's Corbeille Bag Is Your Best Furry Friend
A fully convertible staple inspired by Le Corbusier’s bold sculptural expressionism.
Los Angeles-based accessories label W 78 ST continues to explore the creative boundaries of modern bag-making by reimagining the infamous Jane Birkin‘s wicker basket through Le Corbusier’s aesthetic lens.
Inspired by the Swiss-French architect’s bold sculptural expressionism and use of natural curves for furniture and chairs, the Corbeille bag sees a steel tubular chrome plated basket frame paired with a “78” on its bottom, which allows the staple to be convertible and customizable.
Due to the inventiveness of its basket-like structure, the Corbeille bag’s interior can be removed and switched out for different colors, leather and shearling. W 78 ST offers a signature insert made from Italian nappa lambskin and 100% recycled down, along with “Blue and Purple” and “White” shearling coat options.
As per the label, “the new Corbeille Bag continues W 78 ST’s mission of creating luxurious handbags that emphasize quality, natural lines and craftsmanship, while still having a spontaneous, clever, youthful twist are always at the forefront of our designs.”
Entirely handcrafted in Los Angeles, the Corbeille bag is now available to purchase from W 78 ST’s website.
