Charli XCX To Make Acting Debut in a Remake of 1978 Cult Horror Film 'Faces of Death'
The cast also includes ‘Euphoria’s Barbie Ferreira and ‘Stranger Things’ Dacre Montgomery.
Charli XCX is making her feature film debut with a remake of Faces of Death, a cult horror flick released in 1978.
The film is currently under production in New Orleans, according to TheWrap. The British pop star will co-star opposite Euphoria‘s Barbie Ferreira and Stranger Things Dacre Montgomery.
“Faces of Death was one of the first viral video tapes, and we are so lucky to be able to use it as a jumping-off point for this exploration of cycles of violence and the way they perpetuate themselves online,” Isa Mazzei and Daniel Goldhaber, who co-wrote the script, said in a statement. Additionally, Goldhaber is directing.
Charli has a lot on her plate in addition to the Faces of Death remake. She is currently working with Jack Antonoff, writing and producing music for A24’s Mother Mary. The musician is also an executive producer for Amazon Studios’ upcoming series Overcompensating.
