For the last few years, Kim Kardashian has been taking to social media with raw and honest revelations about her journey with her skin. While we know the KarJenner family for leading some of the hottest makeup and hair trends, Kim is not shy to take to TikTok or Instagram to share “Aha” moments about skincare.

In an Instagram story post, the reality star shared with her fans: “Prioritizing skincare has changed my life. Taking the time to perfect my skincare routine has greatly improved my skin texture and given me the confidence to go makeup-free more often.”

If the infamous Kim K can embrace the “now” of her skin and feel inclined to go out glam-free, why can’t the rest of us?

As a beauty enthusiast who struggled with their skin during the earlier and after days of the pandemic, I can attest to Kimmy’s statement that the condition of our skin has the most significant impact on our self-esteem/confidence. Whether it’s acne, hyperpigmentation or eczema that’s jailed to our faces — there’s something that makes us squirm on the inside. Thankfully big A-listers like Kim K acknowledge that she suffers from the same dispositions as “us.”

In another post Kim writes: “I’ve started to think of my skincare as part of my makeup routine. The goal is to create the best and healthiest canvas possible for your makeup. And

once the look and feel of your skin starts to improve, I think you naturally want to cover it up less. Plus, my makeup sits and blends better now. I’m loving all these soft, minimal glam days.”

That’s right, Kimmy — it’s the skin underneath and the way that one cares for it that makes the makeup shine through at its best. Make sure that above everything else, you’re

taking care of yourself inside as well so that your skin can give you that boost of confidence you deserve.
