We’ve heard of “glazed donut” nails, but “vanilla chrome” nails were not in my deck of wild cards for top spring manicure trends, but here we are.
Instead of Hailey Bieber leading the charge here, it was TikTok influencer @thehotblendofficial that brought the latest mani trend to the forefront. While the beautyfluencer walks us through the routine of achieving the “vanilla chrome” look, the audio in the background is from a scene in the classic When Harry Met Sally movie — giving nothing but sheer romantic vibes.
Aside from the stunning audio, we see her swipe a rich shade of “Love Letter” from The Gel Bottle‘s collection along with a top coat onto her ballerina-shaped oval nails. The main event of the video is the creamy vanilla-chrome powder she spreads across her nails with an eyeshadow applicator. The curator noted that she uses two different blends of the pearly chrome powders, so if you’re not looking to get this exact shade, you can mix various colors to arrive at the same chrome look. “Lavender chrome” nails have also taken a front seat in the trend department for the spring.
