Dua Lipa Channels Her Inner Barbie in New Music Video for "Dance for the Night"

UPDATE (May 26, 2023): Dua Lipa has finally released the long-awaited track “Dance for the Night.”
“Dance for the Night” is the first single off the Barbie soundtrack, which was announced this week. In addition to dropping the single, Lipa also released a new music video.
The Barbie film and soundtrack will be released on July 21. Check out the music video for “Dance the Night” above.
ORIGINAL STORY (May 22, 2023): Dua Lipa has taken to social media to announce she’s releasing a new single for the Barbie soundtrack titled “Dance for the Night.”
The singer, who also stars in the film, shared a preview of the track as well as what appears a clip of an upcoming music video. The clip features Lipa taking off an iconic Barbie heel, similar to the way Margot Robbie does in the film’s trailer. “This Barbie has a song coming this week … FRIDAY MIDNIGHT BST,” the pop star captioned the clip.
In April, it was officially confirmed that Lipa was going to appear in the Barbie film when a movie poster of her was released. “This Barbie is a mermaid,” reads the caption on her movie poster. However, rumors of her joining the Barbie cast began to swirl last May. Insiders even went on to say this is expected to become Lipa’s breakout role.
