GANNI invites you into its vacation shop, opening just in time for the Pre-Fall season.
Aiming to cater to a time dedicated to parties, socializing and dressing up, the collection comprises everything from summer dresses and swimwear to tailoring and eveningwear.
“The big inspiration this season is my feeling that nature always wins,” explains Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup in a press release. “Lately, I’ve been seeing nature everywhere. I love spotting grass and moss growing up the walls of concrete buildings – to me, it’s like secret messages of hope. Someone has been graffitiing bus stops near our home in Copenhagen too, spraying cute flowers. And my four-year-old Rita has discovered the Notes app on my phone, drawing flowers with her fingers. They make me smile. That’s where my head is – where my thoughts wander to.”
The delicate color palette of light blue, pink and pearl is juxtaposed with deep emerald greens and classic blacks, with fabrics ranging from silky satin to checked tweed and sporty, tech materials.
“In the studio, we were having conversations about what Pre-Fall means as a season It has a bit of everything, doesn’t it? Spring, high summer and fall,” continues Reffstrup. “We were thinking a lot about dresses. At one point we joked about calling it: The best-dressed wedding guest collection. Because, honestly what’s better than going to a great party where you feel like you’re wearing the perfect dress for you? Pre-Fall is a multi-hyphenate season, at the beginning of summer, everything goes from dark to light and it’s all about parties and hanging out with friends, making an effort to look your best.”
