Homage Year Releases Collaboration With the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Black Fashion Fair

Homage Year has released a new collaboration with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Black Fair Fashion in classic egg-shaped bags that comes in three different sizes.
Antoine Manning, who founded Homeage Year in 2014, elaborated on the inspiration behind the collaboration. “To have contributed to Jean-Michel Basquiat legacy means the world to me,” he said in a press release. “To keep it as brief as possible, when my father passed away and I turned to painting as a means of expression, Basquiat was the first person that looked like me, that sounded like me, that was reminiscent of me. I view him as someone that reminds me so much of myself. Artistically ambitious and complex, highly misunderstood (especially within that phase of my life). To be able to have the honor to honor his legacy is something I’ve always dreamed of but could never fathom. I just hope that what we create is something that he would have been proud of.”
