Ksubi is indulging in punk-rock hedonism with its Pre-Fall 2023 collection, “Lost Liberty.”
Nodding to the darker, grungier ’90s, the Sydney-based brand turns its back on the status quo, blending minimalist silhouettes with a kaleidoscope of prints and patterns, bringing back memories before we retired from partying.
Heavily distressed denim grounds the collection’s womenswear, infusing touches of femininity and sensuality with the addition of waxed flared jeans and curve-hugging sheer bodysuits, decorated with sultry cut-outs. Artfully slices adorn a flirtatious mini shift around the clavicle, while denim makes another appearance in the form of a bodacious buttoned dress. Elsewhere, Ksubi’s ‘Feed The Fire’ custom-print enlivens the offering, pointing to the early aughts’ carefree rave-ready aesthetic. An obsidian leather waistcoat marries masculine and feminine, reimagining the boyish silhouette in a bolder textile. Meanwhile, cargo pants are softened, thanks to soft fabric and utilitarian pockets.
