Miami’s “Erotika” Art Festival Reimagines Sex and Gender
ClitSplash and Mad Arts celebrate sex-positivity and queer bodies, while rejecting the male gaze.
MAD Arts Studio and female-founded ClitSplash announce its sex-positive and LGBTQIA-friendly Erotika II Pride Festival, hosted in Miami.
Opening on June 2, both collectives partner for a digital exhibition doubling as a two-day festival in celebration of Pride Month and in rejection of the male gaze. “Featuring an art exhibition, live performances and screenings showcasing art by women, queer, trans and other sex-positive minorities,” the festival is a re-presentation of desire. Here, no longer does the male gaze take precedence.

Instead, Erotika showcases the “potential of the internet and new technologies in relation to life and sexuality in a more direct, authentic and creative way,” ClitSplash revealed. Across two days — or eternally in the meta verse — Erotika will feature reveal unique perspectives from gender fluid bodies portrayed by Cymoonv to NINOCENCE‘s ethereal and erotic digital works.
