Levi's and Rolling Loud Announce Intimate Little Simz Concert in London

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Levi’s 501 jeans and the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip-hop.

In 1873, Levi’s 501 jeans were born, becoming an iconic symbol of global style that has endured over time. This year, the American fashion label has big plans to celebrate this important milestone. Coincidentally, 2023 also marks the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, a beloved musical genre and cultural movement that was notably linked to the rise of denim wear, with many of its pioneering artists sporting Levi’s.

Fashion and style have always been integral to hip-hop culture, which is why Levi’s has teamed up with Rolling Loud, the first and largest global hip-hop music festival, as their first-ever global partner. To commemorate these events, the duo has announced that Little Simz will be performing a headline show at London’s Koko with supporting performances by Unknown T and K-Trap. In addition, the London 501 Day Club show will offer an exclusive Levi’s x Rolling Loud capsule collection featuring limited-edition merchandise designed by local partners.

Mark Foxton, Head of Global Partnerships and Collaborations at Levi Strauss & Co, explains, “No festival celebrates the culture of hip-hop more than Rolling Loud, and no fashion item has been more central to hip-hop than the 501 jeans.” Rolling Loud Founders Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif agree, adding, “For years, Levi’s has been the go-to choice for both fans in the crowd and the artists on stage at Rolling Loud.”

Tickets for the London 501 Day Club show are now available online. You can also enter to win tickets by downloading the Levi’s app, creating a Levi’s Red Tab account and signing up for the exclusive competition in the account section. Make sure to stay tuned as other experiences are happening in Tokyo, Paris and Oakland.
