Louis Vuitton Drops a New "Wellness Fragrance" Inspired by the Detox Culture of California
Featuring effervescent notes that you’d find on a juice bar menu.
Luxury fashion and lifestyle house Louis Vuitton has beautifully merged fragrance with the wellness culture of California with its latest “Pacific Chill” scent.
As the latest addition to the brand’s parfum de cologne collection, it is the first of the portfolio to be dubbed a “wellness fragrance,” according to master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud. “One morning in Los Angeles, while I was chatting with Alex Israel, we both ordered one of those detoxifying smoothies that Californians love. I was inspired by the vitamin-packed juice and said to Alex, ‘I’m going to create a detox Cologne.” Belletrud said in a press release.
“Pacific Chill” evokes an ethereal, floral scent bubble that tells an olfactory story of the daytime sun in California’s lushest places to the twinkle of the city lights in Los Angeles. Belletrud formulated the scent profile to read like a drink at your favorite juice bar with notes of blackcurrant, carrot seed and aromatic herbs dashed with a hint of May rose for a floral appeal, adding depth and warmth to the sensorial experience.
“Pacific Chill” retails for $300 USD and is available via Louis Vuitton’s website.
