Nike LeBron 21 "Pearlescent Orange" Pays Tribute To His Daughter Zhuri

Keeping it in the family.

LeBron James‘ signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 21, is getting a lustrous makeover as Nike is dropping the shoe in a new “Pearlescent Orange” colorway.

Designed as an homage to James’ daugher Zhuri, the creamsicle shade shines with an iridescent tint, mimicking the glossiness of the underwater gems. The sneaker puts its best foot forward with a premium patent leather upper painted in the citrusy orange hue. The tongue, interior lining, laces and midsole appear in the same color as well, resulting in a mostly monochromatic aesthetic. “Campfire Orange” adds much-needed warmth, embracing the heel and outlining the Swoosh for a subtle 3D effect.

The “Pearlescent Orange” release follows the drop of the Nike Lebron 21 “Akoya,” providing a colorful contrast to the off-white and red-detailed shoe. If the “Akoya” represents the hardened shell of an oyster, growing and forming a pearl, the “Pearlescent Orange” iteration is a fitting tribute to Zhuri.

The Nike LeBron 21 “Pearlescent Orange” will make its debut later this year via Nike and select retailers. Official images of the sneaker are in the gallery above.
