Following LUNCH Concept’s Edinburgh tour and seeing Budapest attractions with Marvin Mario, Hypebae lands in London with content creator and model Nathan Hopkinson for W Hotels’ latest edition of its cultural event series W PRESENTS for 2024.

Unveiled in 2011, W London sits on the corner of Leicester Square and Soho’s Chinatown, overlooking the city’s skyline. The embodiment of the quality luxury synonymous with W Hotels’ global retreats, the grand multi-story building boasts 192 guest rooms that weave W Hotels’ signature vibrant aesthetic with a distinctly British flair.

Tapping into the country’s rich artistic legacy, its pop rock-inspired interior features custom-made furnishings such as monochromatic Union Jack accents as well as bringing pops of color through red and blue furniture.

Connected and comfortable, each room can be personalized to the guest’s preference via the touch of a button. As well as hallmark W Hotels amenities like Away® Spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities, the hotel also features its very own cinema screening room and its signature Whatever/Whenever service — W’s take on a 24-hour concierge designed to service guests’ every need.

From shopping exclusive menswear pieces in Soho to experiencing the most exciting multi-media exhibitions, check out Hopkinson’s London spots below.

Afternoon Tea with Lois O’Hara

Exclusive to W London, this partnership between multidisciplinary artist/designer Lois O’Hara and pastry chef Leyre Pedrazuela Otero offers an immersive culinary experience that tastefully blends art and gastronomy. Held in the hotels’ The Perception bar, the curated menu of afternoon tea classics, unique bites, and desserts is all crafted using natural ingredients that aim to provide a complete sensory experience with Hopkinson tasting “the best scone I’ve ever had.”

Machine-A

As the fashion capital of the world, London’s style is like no other. From its independent boutiques to stand-out street style, the city is home to a range of creative expression.

Multi-brand concept store Machine-A, located in the bustling Soho district, aligns perfectly with the city’s diverse vibe. The store houses an array of men’s and womenswear spanning a range of brands from emerging labels to high-end luxury, and is the perfect destination for fashion enthusiasts whenever in the city.

Reverb at 180 Studios

Walking through the vibrant Denmark Street where “you can get a glimpse of London’s music history,” Hopkinson heads to The Vinyl Factory’s Reverb exhibition at 180 Studios. Celebrating the intersection of art and sound, the showcase chronicles the past 20 years of the organization’s history through a range of immersive audio-visual installations. Rooms include posthumous sonic experiences from Virgil Abloh, meditative listening created by and programmed with New York artist Devon Turnbull as well as displaying 100 vinyl records by a selection of artists including Arthur Jafa, Fred Again and Daft Punk pressed at the iconic Vinyl Factory Pressing Plant over the years.

W PRESENTS

Returning to the stand-out WOW suite to get ready, Hopkinson opts for a classic refined look comprised of an all-black two-piece fit before heading down to The Perception Bar at W Lounge for the London edition of W PRESENTS.

Joined alongside W London’s music curator Juss Jak and producer King Crowney, headline act Girls of the Internet drew a packed turnout to the venue. From strings and horns to keys and vocals, the band’s dynamic performance not only showcased their extraordinary talent live but also had the crowd dancing until late into the evening.
