This year’s report reveals Charli XCX as “Mother of the Year” with Lady Gaga and Beyoncé as runner-ups. The UK musician’s Brat album not only dominated Summer 2024 but pushed the artist past this year’s most iconic performers. Leading kinky dating app Feeld joined the hype and created a new “Brat” tag for bratty submissives. That’s not the only recognition the “360” singer won this year. Charli XCX also came in first for “Tour of the Year.”
Most surprisingly, however, Grindr found that the sex lives of its users went from kinky to slow and sensual. As one of the few dating apps surviving the mass exodus from online dating to IRL, Grindr Unwrapped reveals a unique perspective: missionary sex over everything.
According to the Unwrapped data, “Missionary is the ‘Sex Position of the Year’.” “Why missionary?” the brand opened. “In a world full of stress, political turmoil and chaos, Grindr’s users are longing for connection and a little simplicity. More than just a position, missionary represents closeness and shared vulnerability, proving that the classic move is anything but vanilla.” On a continued sensual note, kissing won “Favorite Foreplay Activity” because “sometimes lips say more than words.”
Last but not least, “Pornstar of the Year” goes to Tyler Wu.
