Alessandro Michele's First Valentino Collection Has Landed

A surprise release during Milan Fashion Week.

Former Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, was named the new Creative Director at Valentino back in March this year and since then, fans have been keen to see how the lauded designer would translate his Gucci-coded vision into a new fashion house. The debut collection was slated for release during September’s Fashion Week shows, but Michele clearly had other plans.

It turns out, that today is judgement day, as Valentino released its new Spring 2025 collection off-schedule, and somewhat controversially, on the day of Gucci’s Milan Fashion Week show.

As with all new creative director debuts, reactions to the collection have been mixed, with some fans loving seeing Michele’s signatures entwined with Valentino, while others feel a too striking similarity to Gucci collections of the past.

Take a look at the new collection above. What do you think?
