5 Red Flags That Should Make You Run
As told by Sam from ‘Love Is Blind: UK.’
Hit dating series Love Is Blind:UK is living up to the hype, according to Twitter. Unfortunately, one cast member isn’t.
This post contains spoilers.
This season, the contestants actually want to get married. From everyone being over 21 to honest communication about marriage and values, many contestants gave green flag.
I had my doubts at the U.K. version delivering drama on a US level. LET ME SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE WOOOOOOW??!!? #LoveIsBlindUK pic.twitter.com/qDbLZEMVQ7

However, it’s no secret that each season reveals a walking red flag and this season’s culprit is Sam — according to twitter, that is. From telling his partner “I think i love you” to lines that are almost out of Notting Hill — cue “I’m just a boy who wants to love a girl” — fans are not here for his behavior.
Although the drama does make for great television, there are tell tale signs a potential beau is a walking villain.

Backhanded Compliments
When he met his pod bae for the first time — IRL — he said “I don’t care what anyone thinks, she’s gorgeous to me.” This implied that something about her was not likable, but he’d care for her anyway. That’s an odd way to treat your new partner.

“I think I love you”
When his match Nicole said “I really love you,” his response was “I think I love you.” But most notably, on another occasion, he said “No one’s ever loved me, I need someone to love me more than anything.” Every moment or discussion of love is centered around him, not the partnership. It’s amazing to feel loved by someone, but if they’re only concerned about being loved versus actually loving you… run.
Temper Tantrums
Rejection can hurt, no matter how confident you are. However, when Jasmine rejects Sam for valid reasons, he internalizes it versus understanding that she has found a better match. Throwing tantrums in these situations points to an inability to process negative experiences which can become a major issue during life partnership.
Performing Perfection
By Episode 3, it was clear Sam had binged a few rom-coms before joining the cast. Women in the pods felt like something was off about him, but IRL, he was saying all the right things. By Episode 4, viewers could see exactly why these women felt odd. But of course, Sam said his inconsistencies were due to the producer’s “editing.”
Lack of accountability
For each of his f-ck ups, he had an excuse. Of course, viewers picked up on this pattern but his only response was: ”The editing hasn’t really worked in my favor. “My connection with Nicole in the pods was genuine.” Interesting.
