Willy Chavarria And Allen Edmond Release Gender Bending Footwear Collab
The Oxford shoe but yassified.
How much classier can an Oxford shoe get? Willy Chavaria and Allen Edmonds have the answer: a whole lot more. In fact, their “Jalisco” shoe brings the heat with a blend of sophistication and allure that’s simply irresistible.
The campaign shot at the seriously swanky hotel that is Gansevoort Meatpacking in New York, exhibits the “Jalisco”, a split-toe “Derby Oxford” with a Cuban heel, and while it may look like a classic men’s dress shoe, Chavaria is breaking societal and gender norms by making it the new “unformal” icon. With its contoured inch heel and gold “W.C.” initials etched on each pair, it’s the SATC Samantha of Oxford shoes — bold, glamorous and unapologetically stylish.
“I have always admired Allen Edmonds for their quality and craftsmanship but was truly blown away by what the artisans in Port Washington are capable of crafting,” Chavaria says in a press release. “I had no idea a luxury shoe of this caliber could be made here at home.”
The “Jalisco” shoe will be featured in Willy Chavarria’s Spring/Summer 2025 runway show and will be available at select Allen Edmonds stores in Spring 2025.
