Latto's New Album Refuels 21 Savage Dating Rumors
Did Latto just confirm their romance?
Latto‘s newly released album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, refuels 21 Savage dating rumors.
The new album features the track, “Settle Down” with lyrics that revived the drama. She rapped, “I don’t double date cause my man think all you n*ggas is corny… you fighting for radio play he fighting a government case. Lay a h-e down/Lay up with a savage.” Of course, listeners immediately ran to TikTok with fan theories as they’ve long suspected their private love life is due to legal issues.
In a new interview Ebro Darden, she stated that she’ll never confirm or deny. “The internet don’t know a goddamn thing, let’s start there. I like being private. It ain’t really nobody’s business. Listen to the music and you’ll know what you need to know.”
In June of 2023, the rumored romance made headlines as Latto told Cosmopolitan she was in love with her high school sweetheart – not 21 Savage. “The two lovebirds have known each other since Latto was a teenager,” the publication wrote at the time.
Since the subtle announcement, the “Big Mama” rapper has appeared to contradict herself, fans shared. From selfie videos in the British-American rappers truck to getting his name tattooed, the rumors have become increasingly harder to deny.
According to the “Put It On Da Floor” rapper, her high school sweetheart has been to her shows, but they don’t make a habit out of that. “Yes, that’s definitely happened before, but it’s not a consistent thing. I think we find the beauty in separation sometimes because it makes us miss each other… I can’t have people putting two and two together. This is the longest relationship I’ve ever been in.” Less than a year later, 21 Savage performed “Peaches and Eggplants” onstage with her and she chimed in with his lyrics “We gotta be sneaky.”
It appears the relationship is very healthy as she stated ” People think I’m so tough because I’m super confident and dominant. In this relationship at least, I’m way more comfortable with taking the passenger seat and letting him lead because he lets me be myself—and I can still be my alpha self,” she shared. “But I respect him as a man to play the man role. And I’m really in my soft girl era.”
