The “Diesel Loves” Program Is Back, Teaming Up With Timberland

Together, the two brands are tackling the problem of overproduction.

Diesel‘s ambitious “Diesel Loves” project – created to tackle one of fashion’s most pressing issues, overproduction – is back for round two. And this time, the Italian fashion brand is teaming up with Timberland.

The limited-edition “Diesel Loves Timberland” capsule combines Diesel’s denim with Timberland’s plaid flannel to create six unique shirt styles, fully made from fabric sourced from unsold stock. Beyond the physical designs, the collaboration combines their brand values – quality, functionality and individuality – and serves as a testament to the growing willingness within the fashion industry to prioritize collective action over rivalry.

“Even the smallest actions can have a significant impact,” said Glenn Martens, creative director for Diesel and the creator of the “Diesel Loves” program. “Two industry leaders are joining forces to tackle overconsumption and create something meaningful and beautiful together.” This latest collab follows from the March 2023 debut of “Diesel Loves”, where Diesel teamed up with another denim powerhouse, Lee, proving that even competitors can unite for a shared purpose.

“Timberland is thrilled to take part in the ‘Diesel Loves’ project,” added Maisie Willoughby, Chief Marketing Officer for Timberland of the new drop. “Sustainability has long been a priority for our brand. We know our products have an impact on the environment and this project helps us give overstock garments a second life in a unique and creative style expression.”

The “Diesel Loves Timberland” collection is available for purchase on Timberland and Diesel’s websites and select stores. Click the gallery to see more of the pieces.
