Jil Sander and PUMA Are Taking Us Back in Time

Reigniting their partnership with the launch of the new King Avanti football sneaker.

Picture this. The year is 1998, you’re lacing up your football-inspired kicks courtesy of PUMA and Jil Sander, and you feel like the coolest thing in the world. Prepare to relive that feeling because, almost three decades later, the collaboration that changed the game is so back.

Now under the creative direction of Simone Bellotti, Jil Sander is reigniting its partnership with PUMA, picking up exactly where it left off. Through the collaboration, Jil Sander is reintroducing its powerfully simple design language to the classic, sports precision of PUMA. Sophistication, refined cuts and deliberate artistry are all synonymous with the house and the perfect fit for that elegant sneaker you’ve always wanted in your rotation.

The collab introduces a revival of the King Avanti football silhouette with the distinctive flap and crisp lines. The Jil Sander logo is emblazoned in golden foil on the side, while the PUMA logo features on the flap. Available in navy blue with a very limited quantity, the unisex sneaker is the epitome of powerfully simple and timeless design. If you need an elevated shoe that can also carry you through long commutes, 10k steps and formal meetings, look no further.

The shoe is now available via the Jil Sander website and select stores, and will also be followed by a second installment in March 2026.

For more collabs, check out this Salomon and MM6 Maison Margiela capsule.
