PUMA and JiyongKim Reimagine the Futuristic CELL Geo
Dipping into the archives for a lived-in collaboration.
PUMA has linked up with cult South Korean designer Jiyong Kim to deliver an artfully aged take on its CELL Geo sneaker. Renowned for his experimental menswear and nature-driven weathering techniques — often harnessing the elements, sun bleaching and time rather than chemical dyes — JiyongKim brings his signature organic philosophy directly to PUMA’s footwear archive.
The collaborative drop reinterprets the futuristic, sculptural CELL Geo silhouette through a distinctly vintage lens. Reworked with worn-in, aged fabrics, weathered finishes, raw distressed trims and frayed laces, the design deliberately contrasts sleek technical construction with natural imperfection. Beneath the textured, lived-in upper, the sneaker retains its signature decoupled CELL heel unit, bringing bold geometric cushioning alongside fluid cut lines and semi-shrouded laces that keep its streamlined running profile intact. The finished piece stands as a thoughtful conversation between performance, innovation and artisanal craft.
The PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo officially drops globally on November 7, launching via the PUMA and JiyongKim websites and select retailers. An exclusive “Black” colorway will also arrive in limited quantities solely through JiyongKim.
