Miu Miu Celebrated Working Women for SS26

Exploring the “industrial beauty” and significance of the apron.

Miu Miu‘s Spring/Summer 2026 collection felt vastly different from previous seasons, moving away from poolside chic and vacation styling to a more mature offering with a clear-cut focus and one central theme at its core. Exploring the importance of work, its significance and meaning, the collection celebrated working women and their experiences, looking at the challenges and adversities we face.

With an all-star cast of actors, photographers and artists, including Towa Bird and Cortisa Star, the showcase was attended by the likes of Kylie Jenner and actors Joey King, Nina Dobrev, Emma Watson and Eve Hewson.

Repositioning work as “an expression of effort,” “a symbol of care and love,” and a “reflection of independence,” according to the brand’s show notes, the collection centered around the apron, looking at its many hidden associations from clinical to caregiving.

Inspirations like Dorothea Lange and Helga Paris’s documentary photography underpinned the collection, with a distinct focus on the juxtaposing materials that reflect durability and femininity at the same time. These fabrics included raw canvas, heavy-duty leather and cotton poplin, interspersed with lighter silks, lace and ruffling.
