From blinged-out nails to apocalyptic eye looks.

On Spring/Summer 2026 runways, impactful beauty details are just as important as the collections themselves. From Luar‘s carnival-inspired glam to Ashley Williams sending Starface pimple patches down the runway, there is no shortage of innovative beauty moments at New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week. Not only are these beauty looks an integral part of the season’s most influential shows, they’re also a way to forecast all of the up-and-coming beauty trends that we’ll soon be striving for.

Ahead, we track down all of the noteworthy beauty moments from the SS26 season. Because although fashion month might be all about the garments — makeup, hair and nails will always be a core part of the festivities.

Maison Margiela‘s Spring/Summer 2026 beauty looks at Paris Fashion Week turned heads thanks to the absurdist use of mouth openers. While the makeup itself was extremely minimal, the models’ open mouths set the look apart from the rest of fashion month’s most shocking beauty moments.

Caroline Hu’s Checkered Lips

On the runway, lips are a canvas for innovative beauty looks. At Caroline Hu‘s SS26 show, models walked the runway with blurred, checkered lips and smudged eyeshadow — which makeup artist Kakuyasu Uchiide says draws inspiration from the collection’s theme of “destruction and romance.”

Rick Owens’ Unearthly Eyes

Contact lenses play a big part in shaping avant-garde runway beauty looks. At Rick OwensSpring/Summer 2026 show, the brand relied on larger-than-life black contacts, bleached eyebrows and smokey shadow to serve uncanny beauty looks.

Matières Fécales is known for its avant-garde beauty looks and its SS26 glam at Paris Fashion Week brought creepy chic beauty to center stage. The looks, by Fecal Matter, consisted of white face paint, doe-eyed black contacts and the brand’s signature bold cat eye shadow.

Long before they made their runway debut, Starface‘s signature pimple patches were a symbol of cool girl skincare routines. At London Fashion Week, Ashley Williams‘ SS26 show relied on the brand’s new Tiny Star patches to emphasize the show’s theme of “systems of care and contentment.”

Luar’s SS26 collection drew inspiration from carnival — so naturally, the brand brought top-notch carnival-inspired beauty details. At NYFW, skincare is just as essential as the makeup looks themselves. At Eckhaus Latta SS26, the brand tapped cult-favorite skincare brand Dieux to dream up limited-edition eye masks inspired by the collection. Not only did the show’s models walk the runway wearing the skincare staple, Isamaya Ffrench completed the glam with white lashes inspired by the celestial theme.

For Elena Velez‘s SS26 show at New York Fashion Week, models sported vagabond-esque makeup looks inspired by coal mines and the dust bowl era. While other shows had rigid guidelines for each makeup look, Elena Velez leaned into the chaotic vibes of the collection with haphazardly smudged eye looks, ghostly grey contour and bright white lashes.
