PUMA’s New Podcast Unpacks the Football Shirt Trend

Is blokecore sustainable or on its way out?

Football jerseys have been on everyone’s Pinterest boards for years now, and as the trend turns into a fashion staple, PUMA‘s latest podcast series dives deep into the world of blokecore. Who Gives a Shirt is hosted by Jack Fowler and Kimberley Cumberbatch, with the five-part show focusing on the good, the bad and the ugly of kit culture.

Dropping as part of PUMA’s “FOREVER.BETTER.” initiative, the podcast charts the past, present and future of football shirts through the lens of sustainability. The FOREVER.BETTER. platform is PUMA’s one-stop shop for sustainability in sportswear and fashion as the brand makes strides to reduce its carbon footprint, whilst also producing some of the best jerseys in the game.

Who Gives a Shirt continues the conversation from the brand’s GREEN FLAGS podcast, offering a more humorous and nostalgic take on football shirts with the same eco-friendly viewpoint.

Guests on the show include filmmaker and journalist Xaymaca Awoyungbo, designer Hattie Crowther and textile upcycler Andrew Burgess. The podcast aims to entertain, educate and continue bridging the gap between fashion and football as the two become more closely intertwined than ever before.

Who Gives a Shirt is available to watch and listen to on all major podcast platforms, YouTube, and PUMA’s FOREVER.BETTER. website.
