Oceanus Just Introduced Mermaid-Core
Teaming up with Disney for a ‘Little Mermaid’-inspired capsule dripping in underwater fantasy. And yes, there’s a shell bikini top.
Party season is officially here, but make it swimwear edition. Enter Oceanus. The occasionwear and swim label teamed up with Disney for a sparkling new collaboration inspired by The Little Mermaid, launching exclusively at Selfridges.
The limited-edition capsule reimagines Ariel’s underwater world through Oceanus’ signature lens of bold femininity, intricate embellishment and unapologetic glam. Made up of four statement pieces, the collection nods to the cult-classic film while celebrating the freedom, transformation and self-expression at the heart of its story. After all, who hasn’t dreamed of being a mermaid at least once?
Each design is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, featuring ornate beading, shimmering textures and silhouettes that feel both fantastical and party-ready. “We wanted to capture the spirit of The Little Mermaid: a story about courage, transformation and the power of self-expression,” says Oceanus founder and creative director Hannah Attalah. “This collaboration is an ode to the modern mermaid; confident, radiant and unafraid to make waves.”
Launching as part of Selfridges’ A Most Magical Christmas campaign, the collection will debut with an installation at the London department store, while also available to shop online. Consider this your official sign to channel your inner mermaid, no sea required.
