Byredo's New "Blanche" Absolu Parfum Takes Intimacy to a New Level
“It is a lived-in feeling that I feel so many people can connect to.”
Byredo wants to get deeper with its fans, so much so that the brand is adding another scent to its “Absolu” portfolio. In addition to “Mojave Ghost,” the cult classic “Blanche” will join its range of highly-concentrated oil-based perfumes, which are made using a process called solvent extraction. This technique grabs the full essence of a plant, preserving more of its power.
“Blanche Absolu” invites its wearer to immerse themselves into a clean and refreshing fragrance, akin to fresh sheets after laundry day. At its base, rich musk, soft cashmeran and warm ambroxan create a comforting foundation. The heart showcases delicate floral notes of violet, jasmine and rose absolute, adding a touch of floral refinement. Finally, at the top, lovers of the original Blanche can expect its same black pepper and neroli entrance.
“‘Blanche’ is about capturing the idea of texture and fabric and skin,” Ben Gorham, founder and creative director of Byredo, said in a press statement. “It’s about translating a level of intimacy that is very human. It is a lived-in feeling that I feel so many people can connect to.”
