ALAÏA's PFW Showcase Celebrated the Portrait of a Woman

Using fashion as sculpture.

This Fall/Winter 2025 season at Paris Fashion Week has been filled with designer debuts, runway returns and immersive experiences but one showcase always seems to be a major highlight and that’s ALAÏA. Always focused on celebrating the female form, the brand’s sensual offerings are a Parisian staple.

This season, the collection took influence from a fusion of history, geography and sculpture, all presented through the lens of femininity. Perceiving women’s bodies as a sculpture in themselves, the collection was showcased amidst a backdrop of artworks by sculptor Mark Manders.

Spreading the message “your body is yours,” the collection referenced “multiple histories, different periods and places,” through an exploration of shape and detail. Utilizing clothing as a means of movement, the collection features sculptural silhouettes, kinetic pleating and draping. Hooded dresses were used to conceal and reveal, framing the model’s faces to create mini portraits and crafted from sheer fabrics.

Take a look at ALAÏA’s Summer-Fall 2025 collection above. While you’re here, check out the latest from PFW.
